Brownies & Rainbows

5th Mill Hill Rainbows and Brownies

Mill Hill Synagogue is proud to have a thriving Rainbows and Brownies, since September 2014.

Girlguiding inspires young girls to develop their sense of self, in a safe and nurturing environment.  Through the volunteers that deliver a varied and comprehensive programme, girls are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that build character and a sense of community spirit. As a Jewish unit we incorporate the festivals and a Jewish ethos in to our programme.

Meeting in the Ner Orre Community Hall on a Monday evening we offer an enjoyable guiding experience for Rainbows and Brownies aged 7-10 years old.  It is our dear wish to set up a Guide Unit, (aged 10-14) and are desperate to find the right volunteer to help us achieve this.

Rainbows* - (ages 5-7) Sara Sherrard or “Sunshine Sara” as she is known, is the Guider in charge of the unit. Rainbows meet on Mondays 4.45pm – 5.45pm.

Brownies* - (ages 7-10) Belinda Pliener our “Brown Owl” is the Guider in charge of the unit. Brownies meet on Mondays 6pm – 7.30pm.

Guides - (ages 10-14) Currently looking for a Guider to run this “new” unit, waiting to open.

*Registration is only possible via Join Us the Girlguiding UK national database (please click here).

Please follow the steps to register for the waiting list, by selecting the 5th Mill Hill Rainbows or 5th Mill Hill Brownies. Please note, this is the only way to register your interest in the units and registration does not guarantee a place for your child.

As we are currently looking for volunteers, we are willing to guarantee a place to the child, grandchild, niece, etc of a volunteer willing to become a permanent assistant Guider to Sara or Belinda or to become the new Guider in charge of Guides.
