  • About the Certificate of Religious Practice

Following the judgment in the Supreme Court Jewish schools have to adopt a religious practice test for admissions.

Some schools will be asking you to complete a Certificate of Religious Practice (CRP), which includes verification of synagogue attendance.

You should check the websites of the schools in which you are interested to see their specific requirements, but many are looking for attendance at synagogue.

Entry to Jewish Schools September 2020

Once again we are putting procedures in place to help those wishing to apply to attend Jewish Schools in September 2020 to obtain a Certificate of Religious Practice (CRP).
The date that eligibility for attendance at synagogue services commences is
    4th May 2019.

If you wish to have your child’s attendance at synagogue recorded so that we can verify attendance for the CRP, you need to apply to join the attendance register no later than
    Monday 29th April 2019.
We are therefore asking that everyone, whether a member or not, who wishes to have their child’s attendance at Mill Hill Synagogue verified for school admissions purposes, register with us. Please note that if your child has not registered we will not be able to assist with a CRP.
Click on the link below to register:

    CRP REGISTRATION

We were delighted that so many children registered with us last year. We are expecting a large number again this year, so please ensure that you register with plenty of time.
To further enable you to collect points this year we are launching an exciting new CRP Points Programme. Alongside some special Shabbat morning children services, the programme includes volunteering and learning opportunities, as well as family Kabbalat Shabbatot.

If you have any questions, please email us at:
    crp@millhillsynagogue.co.uk

  • Women's Shul Experience
Dear Women of Mill Hill Shul,
The Women’s Voice Committee and Shul Board of Management are delighted to offer a short survey specifically targeted for the women in our community in order to get a better understanding of the Shul experience relating to women. This includes the perspective around seating, speakers and generally how the Shul can improve overall where possible.
We are a thriving community with so many wonderful women, covering an array of ages and all with differing requirements and priorities. We want to make sure that we are doing our best to ensure community involvement and a pleasant Shul experience.
The survey does allow for multiple responses, so please pass details of this page (www.shul.co.uk/survey) to your female spouse, partner, parent or child (over the age of 12) so that everyone has the opportunity to complete it.
After the survey deadline of Friday 19th April, we will summarise the outcome and outline the next steps.
    Thank you for your participation.
