  • Booking the shul choir
The choir together with Moshe Caplan have many requests by members to perform on Shabbat for a special occasion such as a BarMitzvah, forthcoming wedding, special anniversary etc.
Although the choristers perform on a voluntary basis there are some costs associated with the choir including our professional choirmaster, preparation of rehearsal and performance materials etc. These costs are in part defrayed by generous donations and funds agreed by the Synagogue.
To ensure the viability of the choir the Synagogue levies a fee for requested performances.
Should you wish to engage the choir or make a donation in support of the choir please contact the Synagogue office.

Below is a recording of Aleinu L'shabeiach - a central prayer from the Musaf service on Rosh Hashanah, opening the section in which we declare God's kingship and mastery over all the universe. The melody is one of a number ruled by the 15th century halachic authority the Maharil to be miSinai, characterising it as being so ancient that it is an essential component of the prayer service which would invalidate the entire service if altered or omitted.

Sung by Chazan Boruch Sholom Rapoport together with the choir of Mill Hill United Synagogue under the direction of Eliot Alderman.
