THURSDAY 25 MAY 2023

Shavuot 2023 saw the successful launch of a new type of all-night learning event for the first night of the festival.
Throughout the night, attendees had a choice of two different learning events (with most sessions given by Mill Hill members) or mindfulness and meditation session led by Zac Newman a professional in the field.
And, of course, there was a hot and cold running buffet with an opportunity to schmooze, and all followed by an early Shacharis service at 3:20am.

For most of the night there were 40-60 people in attendance, with about 20 staying on for Shacharis.

Aside from the organisers Beverley Crowne and Ian Boonin, special “shout-outs” go to:
Rabbi Schochet who kicked-off the event with an inspirational plenary session,
Anita Gee for organising the Food and helping with the speakers,
the Shul Office for helping with the publicity and other organising,
and Marshall Hoffman who provided security throughout the night – being the first to arrive and the last to leave.
And of course, thanks go to all our great speakers:
Rabbi Rose, Yael Miller, Dr Lindsay Simmonds, Aviv Boonin, Rosie Kutner, Sarah Sultman, Adam Dawson and Steven Emden.

For those who came, we hope you found it worthwhile and enjoyable - your feedback is welcome.
For those who didn’t come, we hope to see you there next year!
